Some great Moodle activity examples
by Scott Palmer - Thursday, 23 August 2012, 6:24 PM

Hi all. Hope you enjoyed the Olympics, both the London and the Mount Orange variety!

Just to let you know there is a course Activity Examples which contains loads of working examples of glossaries, databases and quizzes that were donated over several years to a course on Moodle.org called the Exchange, curated by Paula Clough. We now have these activities here on Mount Orange for anyone to use in their own courses. Do check them out - there is something for everyone there.

What's cool in Moodle 2.3
by Scott Palmer - Friday, 15 June 2012, 2:34 PM

Hi all. Our principal Anna has asked me to give you a bit of info on our new version of Moodle that I have set up. The best way to try this out is to respond to this forum and click into the box with a big arrow and drag in a  picturebig grin

How we made this Staffroom
by Scott Palmer - Sunday, 29 April 2012, 2:41 PM

Thought I would give a quick  bit of onsite Moodle training here as a number of you have asked me F2F: This staffroom is an example of the "social" format course format that you can get in a course by going to the course administration >edit settings. It is good for when you just want a message board basically (the Junior Hangout is similar) but I  have also added the "Social activities" block that allows us then to add other resources -like the Extra-curricular Lounge and the policy documents, in the same way we'd add resources and activities in a regular topics or weekly format course.
